sharing from my heart to yours
My First Outfit! :) So I've thought of doing something like this for awhile now and finally got to it not long ago. I think the little lounge-wear outfits for babies are so cute and cozy, and didn't look too hard to make, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It WAS a little harder than I expected, but I don't think I followed the directions quite right either. Now I just need to 'find' a little baby to try this on and see if it comes close to fitting right! Soon I won't have to look far!
:) Ok... not so soon... but...!! Yup... here's my official blogger announcement: We're expecting another little sweetie! I'm not due until January... seems like eons away... but things have been going much better than the last pregnancy so far! Yes, this may explain all the girly type stuff I've been making lately! :) I think a girl would be SO fun! BUT... I wouldn't mind having a boy since I already have one and have all the stuff and Sky would have a buddy! So anyways... hope you like my first attempt at an outfit!

Yes, I know I just did my Purple Craft for Week 2, but I was behind so here's this week's. It's actually just another craft. I was on a roll using up some of my fabric scraps so I came up with a little girl hat.
Purple Craft Seems like I've been a week behind on this Color Challenge lately. Just did another quick, easy project with some extra purple fabric I had on hand. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other pages on Whispers of Joy! Here's my Purple photo college for last week's color challenge. Yes, I'm a little late... with no excuses! I've actually been forgetting all about doing my weekly color projects lately. I think part of it is because summer is coming, and sitting inside doing projects and crafts just doesn't seem right. Though with the rain lately, I should have gotten more of that done! :) Didn't realize how hard the color purple was until I started looking for some older pictures to use! Happy belated Mother's Day to you moms! The pic above is of me and my little man yesterday. He's getting so big!!
Here is my project for the week for the Color My World Challenge. Just a sneak peek to the project I'm currently working on. Should finish today so look for a post about what this is and more details tomorrow! :)
So if you haven't noticed, I am behind on my color challenges again this month, as I've been out of town. Decided I'd post this for a yellow project and introduce a new Sort-n-Stash Pocket style at the same time! This new choice will be added to the Sort-n-Stash Pockets page soon for you to purchase for your purse, diaper bag, suitcase (just discovered they work great to organize that too!), car, or whatever else you can think of!
Pictures updating you on my MIA status the last couple weeks coming soon! Didn't think I'd get this week's project done, but I ended up having a quiet afternoon and was inspired while reading the BHG magazine! Decided to bring some of this spring inside! This was another fast and easy project. Getting to be my specialty for this Color My World Challenge It's been fun seeing what all you who are participating have come up with! Thanks for motivating us, Karen! This project was pretty basic.
First I got a cool vase that my mom had given awhile back and filled it about half full of smooth rocks from outside. Then I found some decent looking branches and put them into the vase using the rocks to hold them in place. I cut out a bunch of flowers that I printed onto green, brown, and white cardstock and hot-glued them to the branches! It's a neat springy accent to my 'green room'... the entry/dining area. I'm LOVING this spring weather and sunshine! How about you?! Green Craft: Flower Embellishment Looks great as a brooch on a shirt... ...or a jacket... ...or a belt... ...or a pillow...
...or a blanket... ...or nearly anything! March is GREEN month! Time to start thinking green... which isn't hard to do with all the spring buds, sprouting plants, and bright landscape appearing all over the Pacific Northwest! I LOVE this weather! Green is probably my favorite color during the springtime! And no, I never did get last week's project done. So sorry! A pink recipe!? Hmm... it just wasn't coming to me. Or I just wasn't being very inspired... one of the two! MAYBE someday I'll do something and post it, but for now, I refuse to feel guilty for missing a week! I knew there was a good chance of that happening when I started.
I am now just praying that we don't start FEELING green in our household! My hubby got that flu bug yesterday, so praying my son and I don't get it now! May God bless you this week! |
