sharing from my heart to yours
It’s a Pinterest find! One thing I love about Pinterest is all the tips you can find about cleaning and organizing more efficiently (and cheaply!). Though I HAVE found some pretty useless tips, like this one: You take a straw and cut it into small pieces, and put a small amount of triple antibiotic cream into it. Then you seal the ends with a lighter and you have a ‘single use’ triple antibiotic pack for travel! Since the original bottle is SOO big!? Have you SEEN the bottom of my diaper bag…that little thing would be lost forever! Not that I carry around triple antibiotic cream around with me all the time anyways…but maybe some people do. Sorry, but this tip just doesn’t motivate me to go through all that work! Also note that when I typed ‘tips’ into the search bar on Pinterest, that was the first one to come up! Ha! Maybe some people would find this useful, but not me. But here’s the tip that I DO think is smart and want to share with you! The original link is here, but here is the picture of mine The original pin was just a google picture, so no link here. That is my actual photo :) Using a standard scrubber made for washing dishes, (you know, the kind with the sponge on the end that squeezes out the dish soap that's inside the handle) you can make a super hand shower cleaning system! You just feill the handle half full of Dawn dish soap (no clue if it HAS to be that, but I had some, so that's what I used) and half full of vinegar. I know many people use vinegar as a regular household cleaner already. I'm learning, but still use my old (more expensive!) standbys that are full of chemicals too much! :( But this can be used while you're IN the shower...just wipe down those walls a couple times a week and you'll never get in there and use that elbow grease to scrub at that nasty grime build up again! That was one job that I've always HATED doing, and it was always pretty bad by the time I forced myself to do it. Plus, I never had a real good method that worked the way I liked, so THIS I was excited about! :) I also added some grapefruit essential oil (any yummy scented kind would work) to make it smell better, though the vinegar smell wasn't nearly as strong as I thought it would be. So go pick up a new (or revive an old) scrubber, and get a sparkling shower fast! :)
Soon I'll be sharing how we organized our over-cluttered shower! Come back soon and thanks for stopping! God bless you
